  17. If you've already installed 1.99p, I hope you can pick up 1.99p3 and
  18. test it against any applications you'd like to see run under 2.0 (be
  19. reasonable, sound and QuickTime will definitely not be supported).
  20. Then, send us bug reports about the largest problems you see.

  22. We still have plenty of things to work on during the remaining 10 days
  23. of Hackathon II left, but we want to be sure we don't overlook
  24. anything.  However, please remember that we may prioritize things
  25. differently, so even if you report a bug there's no guarantee that
  26. we'll be able to look into it.

  28. In ten days, after Cotton leaves, Mat will resume work on the
  29. NEXTSTEP/Motorola port.

  39. In addition to the work that is reflected in 1.99p, I have also done
  40. some work on the Browser, but I have a few other mods I want to make
  41. to the System file before rolling a new release.  We're hoping that
  42. 1.99q will be our last pre-beta release and that we'll go into beta by
  43. the end of the month.

  45. NOTE: I was not able to reproduce the slowdown that occurs when some
  46. people open DOS drives under E/D.  Mat did make some modifications to
  47. our interrupt code, so there's a slight chance that the mods speed
  48. things up.  I will send more e-mail about this particular problem
  49. later.
