  11. i use MS Word (5.0a) a lot.  additionally, i use the weird characters you 
  12. can get with certain fonts (ie, new cent schlbck) if you hold down the 
  13. option key and type a character.
  14.  
  15. for instance, on a mac i can type Opt-J.  this results in a triangle or 
  16. delta symbol being printed instead of a j.  this is useful for me when i 
  17. write about certain deletions i have constructed in the lab.  now, i know 
  18. that with executor that l-alt is supposed to be the apple or command key 
  19. and that r-alt is supposed to be the opt key.

  21. this is not working for me.  is it working for anyone else?  on my 
  22. system, both alt keys are equivalent to the apple-command key.

  24. i guess i'll give it a shot with executor-svga 1.99p.

  26. ok, this is like a work in progress!

  28. i just gave MS Word a shot under executor-svga and all the keys are 
  29. mapped correctly.  unfortunately, the quality of the screen sucks 
  30. (svgalib problem not executor), the caps lock and num lock keys don't 
  31. work and the number of font sizes available is ridiculously limited.

  33. so, the problem must be with X.  anyone know why these key mappings 
  34. aren't working.
