It's the thing I miss most from the browser. Some of the code for multi-selection is already in place. We hope to clean up the Browser code and make it publicly available when 2.0 ships. That should allow people to make other useful mods to the code although we'll probably need people to sign a release before we'll be able to incorporate other people's changes into our Browser. (of course with a dialog box that says, "are you Jeff> sure"-- and multi-select would also help out) What I do is make a directory in the top level of the volume that I'll be deleting things from, then open that directory and put it down at the bottom of my screen and drag stuff into it. I can either leave it there for later or delete it if I need to reclaim the disk space. Sort of a "poor man's" trash can. I know I could just use an .hfv file on the Jeff> dos partition, but this just seems kind of clunky. (of is Jeff> it just my warped perception? Should I not be concerned Jeff> that its an emulated filesystem?) The program "makehfv" could conceivably be used to turn a disk partition under Linux into an HFV file by itself. If you are comfortable with writing directly to a disk partition (if you write to the wrong one, you will blow away your system), you can do it in the obvious Linux way, then adjust MacVolumes accordingly. However, I don't know how to tell Executor to find a raw partition under OS/2, so I'm not sure that this info helps much. We probably won't do anything about this sort of thing until after 2.0 is out. Not enough universal appeal. Jeff> Jeff Halverson --Cliff ctm@ardi.com
