  14. A quick'n'dirty workaround:

  16. Create a LD_PRELOAD object which patches vga_safety_fork away.  Something like:

  21. $ gcc -b i486-linuxaout -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -c -o foo.o no_safety_fork.c

  26. Move the resulting object (no_safety_fork.o) where you keep the a.out libs
  27. and start executor with:

  31. Some ancient ld.so's will require LD_PRELOAD (without the AOUT).

  33. It works for me (sort of) on Trio64 (S3-like thing), I still need to restore
  34. the textmode on return from executor.  For further information read the file
  35. ld-so/example/README.preload in the ld.so distribution.
