- I bit the bullet and upgraded my kernel from 1.1.59 to 1.2.13 and SVGAlib to
- 1.27. I held my breath and tried to run executor-svga and ... it ran! I have a
- Mach32 with 1Mb of DRAM, and a 486DX2-66 with 20Mb RAM.
-
- The only problem that I had was when I tried to switch back to X while leaving
- executor running. The X display was filled with garbage and I had to reboot the
- machine to regain control.
-
- Also, I have to run executor-svga (and any SVGAlib programs) as root. If I
- don't, then I get the message SVGAlib: cannot get IO permissions. I have no
- idea why this happens, any suggestions?
