  26. I bit the bullet and upgraded my kernel from 1.1.59 to 1.2.13 and SVGAlib to
  27. 1.27. I held my breath and tried to run executor-svga and ... it ran! I have a
  28. Mach32 with 1Mb of DRAM, and a 486DX2-66 with 20Mb RAM.

  30. The only problem that I had was when I tried to switch back to X while leaving
  31. executor running. The X display was filled with garbage and I had to reboot the
  32. machine to regain control.

  34. Also, I have to run executor-svga (and any SVGAlib programs) as root. If I
  35. don't, then I get the message SVGAlib: cannot get IO permissions. I have no
  36. idea why this happens, any suggestions?
