  18.   Ditto, for a 1.3.7 kernel and ATT21C498 S3 2Mb card.  I can switch to
  19. alternate consoles, login and start up X11.  The process table shows two
  20. executor processes running, I can kill them but nothing restores the text
  21. mode.
