Hi Folks,
We have a few small mods that we want to make before we release
Executor/Linux/SVGAlib, but we hope to have a BleedingEdge SVGAlib
version out within the next 24 hours. NOTE: this SVGAlib will be
unsupported by us initially.
The SVGAlib version is pretty cool if your video card is one that
SVGAlib can linearly map into your address space. That allows games
that normally would require refresh to run very smoothly and very
quickly, and for some reason, the colors aren't too dark like they are
under DOS and X-Windows.
However, if you want to run the SVGAlib version you'll need kernel
1.3.15 or later and SVGAlib 1.27 (Mat had to fish that version out of
Sunsite's Incoming directory a few days ago. I don't know if it's in
the standard place yet or not). That's the purpose of this note, so
you can get your machine up to speed while we put the finishing
