  8. I have noticed that on bootup E/L 199o4 tries to read from the cdrom 4 times.
  9. This is without a cd in the drive. A cd is not mounted anywhere either.
  10. This takes a substantial amount of time.
  11. However, if there is a cd in the drive it boots very quickly. Mounted or 
  12. unmounted. If there is a cd mounted and you take it out without 
  13. unmounting it E/L still starts quickly. I know it's a pretty petty thing.
  14. It just gets annoying hearing the cd drive checking for a cd for 30 seconds.
  15. Is this normal?
