- I've read a few postings here about playing Marathon with Executor, but I
- just haven't been able to get this to work. I've tried both E/D and E/L,
- and both suffer from this strange problem where the screen goes into 1bit
- color mode, making the menus impossible to see. I can use then prefs.
- panel to shift them back to 256 (in DOS anyway, my E/L ignores this at
- this point, I don't think it's accepting stuff from the keybd.), but the
- pallette is all wrong. I can then pull up the menus, change stuff, etc.
- Click on OK, and celebrate, becuase it fixed the palette, and things look
- awesome. Then I hit play, and it crashes. In E/D, I just get a DOS
- prompt, and E/L seg faults. (Or, if I stay in 1bit color, sometimes It'll
- quit back to the browser.) I've tried this both with and without
- refresh, and using various applzone sizes, including 12000 as suggested
- by a previous poster.
