  13. First, I wanna say thanx (yet again) to ARDI for creating this nifty and
  14. absolutely wonderful Macintosh emulator!  v1.99o seems to be stable both
  15. under my PC-DOS 6.3 setup and in a VDM under Warp, and I'm very very happy
  16. with it.  Just tested the diskette formatting this morning, and it works!

  18. I noticed one change, tho, between v1.99n4 and v1.99o.  The freeware game 
  19. Glypha III (a nice 640x480x256 Joust clone) now seems to have a problem 
  20. drawing the moving sprites.  v1.99n4 worked fine, I think.  v1.99m did 
  21. for sure.  But with v1.99o, the images seem to have extraneous white 
  22. elements, and the image representing the player will not draw properly 
  23. when facing in one direction (the other seems fine).

  25. I submitted Glypha III to the unofficial ARDI pages games list, so others 
  26. that want to check it out (and maybe confirm the bug?) should feel free.
  27. That game and Shatterball are admittedly my two main uses for the emulator 
  28. right now <grin>.

  30. One other thing: except for video (I'm using VESA 1.2), E/D 1.99o under
  31. DOS beats my Mac IIci here at work, at least according to Speedometer.  I
  32. just upgraded my 486DX/33 to a 486DX4/100 (Intel OverDrive via processor
  33. swap), and that helped out quite a bit.  :-) It's about twice as fast as
  34. the IIci in the benchmarks now on the average.  Here are a few numbers I
  35. see for comparison (maybe others can post theirs?):

  42. I get slightly lower numbers in a VDM under OS/2, but I tend to run a lot 
  43. of disk monitors and other things in the background.
