First of all, none of these apply when in a DOS box under windows. In that case, DPMS-based drivers are replaced by VxDs and such. - PKZIP crashes (documented in manual); fix is disabling DPMI support. - Geoworks won't run, but this might be an incompatibility with Stacker. Crashes on startup with DPMS active. Doesn't recognize a stacked drive correctly when DPMS not active (there is a fix that I haven't tried). - Logic Magicians' Oberon System crashes on startup. It rolls its own DPMI- compliant dos extender, and comes with Oberon source. Haven't tried to fix it; I have plenty of working Oberon Systems. There are others that I can't remember right now. I have noticed that apps extended with Borland extenders, PharLap extenders and Dos4GW work fine. I haven't tried DRDOS or Novell DOS, and I am unlikely to. Brian Hawley bhawley@luc.edu
