  14.   I have just upgraded vorlon to wu-ftpd 2.4. This (hopefully) will stop the
  15. annoying dead ftp processes that spin and eat my processor cycles. Some
  16. useful features:
  17.    * If you try to get a binary file in ASCII mode, it will warn you first.
  18.    * If you get <filename>.Z, or <filename>.gz, it will compress the file
  19.      before it sends it.
  20.    * If you get <dirname>.tar[.Z|.gz], it will tar and optionally compress
  21.      the directory and send it.
