Yes, everyone should have a chance to test before 2.0 comes out. I don't know when it will first appear -- Mat is getting into the groove again, but there will probably be some mods I'll have to make, but we will make sure that the NEXTSTEP version of 2.0 has a beta period of the same amount of time as the DOS and Linux versions. Those two may go into beta before the NEXTSTEP versions do, but *all* the releases to date are pre-beta. I'm not sure how much our HyperCard compatibility has improved in the last year and a half, but the ClarisWorks spreadsheet crash is fixed. We still are being dogged by a variety of printing problems, but some have gotten better in the last few releases. HyperCard will probably be one of the apps we spend some concentrated hackathon time. If you want to make up a list of known problems with HyperCard and send them, with stacks that can easily reproduce them, we'll see if those bugs still exist and try to eradicate them if they do. Sorry it's been so long (and is still taking a little while) for a new NEXTSTEP port, but there would be no ports if we had gone out of business. Beth> Thanks for not deserting us. I only wish there hadn't been this long delay. --Cliff
