- I have a question about the future the way that ardi sees: Will I be
- able to install the MacOS on a partition on my hard drive using your
- synthetic CPU in the future? Is this something that is plausible? The
- idea being that I could have an entire MacOS partition, a VFAT partition,
- a Linux ext2fs and an OS/2 hpfs and have a boot manager select which
- operating system to start up... Then of course, If I need to access the
- Mac Programs while under either DOS, OS/2 or LINUX, I could fire up the
- emulator, and access the partition. The advantage being that If an app
- doesn't work under the emulator, I could resort to rebooting the native
- MacOS, but mostly I could stay comfortable in my LINUX environment. (I
- guess I'm speculating on what sort of deal it is that you may be able to
- spark with Apple, in version >2.0 with buying the actual MacOS7.5)
-
- Additionally, I would like to say "thanks ardi!" for your generosity of
- contributing the mac-fs to someone who will implement it on Linux! I'm
- really impressed with your "saintly" philosophy! :-) I can of course,
- see how this will help out both you and the linux community. (Anyone who
- doesn't know what I'm talking about, read their new FAQ! Great job on
- the FAQ!)
-
- And in case I haven't gone way off on speculations yet, how about this:
- Has there been any talk with the Caldera people? They are trying real
- hard to make Linux commercially viable, mainly via Windows support (as in
- MS-Win), perhaps they can find a shortcut in support of Executor... ??
