  15. Well, these problems aren't really just with 1.99n, they're with 1.99m 
  16. and my own computer, too.  When I loaded version 1.99m on my machine, all 
  17. of the programs that came with it worked fine, but it wouldn't recognize 
  18. the volumes I created.  (.HFV files in the C:/EXECUTOR directory)  But 
  19. when I zipped up my entire EXECUTOR directory and tried it on a different 
  20. machine, all of the volumes showed up.  This was weird, and I got so 
  21. frustrated that I figured I'd just wait for 1.99n.  I got that (at about 
  22. 1:30 am today) and installed it.  Since volumes had been a problem for me 
  23. before, the first thing I did was make a test volume and load up 
  24. executor.  It didn't show up.  Trying different things, I renamed 
  25. EXDEMOS.HFV to ABC.000 so it wouldn't load.  _THEN_ my test volume showed 
  26. up.  I experimented with that for a while and came to the conclusion that 
  27. the number of .HFV volumes recognizable had a firm limit of two.  (This 
  28. is just for me.  I'm waiting for other people to tell me that it works 
  29. for them.)

  31. Through some shuffling, I managed to get all of the system stuff into a 4 
  32. meg volume, and I copied all the demos to a 20 meg volume.  Then I tried 
  33. to load some software.  BinHex gave me a "file system error -42" message 
  34. or something.  CompactPro and StuffitLite also gave weird errors.

  36. I have a suspicion that it's just me and that E/D 1.99n should work 
  37. perfectly for everyone else, but I wish somebody out there could help me 
  38. figure out what I've got going wrong.
