OK, one possible problem with copying 800k disks to 1.4mb format is that the
instalation program being run off of the 1.4mb disk. Now if the program is
set up to look at these things It might get mad not let you install it
because it sees that it is not being run off of an 800k disk. I realize that
the older programs don't ordenarly have a problem with this but the new ones
may. (Anyone used Microsofts new DMF format, It's a BIG pain!!)
And next, A point was made about Windows 95. IMO I think that Windows 95
will be the perfect OS to build executor on. It is a high end OS with low
end hardware requirements. And yes, OEM installed base will help bring
windows 95 off the ground but many people are going to want to upgrade
because of the many new areas that have been improved (Need I say more?).
This with the fact that it will be a inexpencve upgrade and run on existing
windows 3.1 hardware. (I Am using Windows 95 now and it is a very nice
system) There are nothing but GOOD reasons to upgrade. ARDI is looking in the
future, good for them! ANd of corse there will always be E/DOS.
I would also like to complement ARDI for not makeing "vapor ware", Its great
that they are holding off on there advertising plans. Thanks to all that
