  10. Hello,
  11. I have recently started toying with Executor and have run into some
  12. troubles with various software.  GifConverter doesn't like the hardware.
  13. VIM (Vi Improved) exits to the dos prompt if I start it.  I feel the need
  14. for an hfv file on an ftp site that has many basic applications a Mac
  15. would have that are Demo or Shareware/Freeware versions.  For instance,
  16. I did not find a text editor, picture editor.  In the case of text editor
  17. I couldn't read the README's many files provided.  Just something relative
  18. to a SimpleText (more simple actually, just ASCII files in DOS, Unix, and
  19. Mac carriage return format.)
  20. Another problem was when you move files from your normal hfv disks 
  21. to the dos one the filename has a space in it.  It's 8.3 but has a space
  22. in it.  I couldn't get DOS to view it until i renamed it.  The copy 
  23. feature of Go (by dragging) should just put the first 8 letters of
  24. the filename (spaces replaced by underscores) and put an extension
  25. if it can figure it out.  (last existing if there is one on the Mac file
  26. and otherwise try figuring out the format).

  28. Also, how much is the DOS version.  (I couldn't find it in the documents
  29. for some reason.)  Is it possible to license BOTH the Dos and Linux version?

  31. Are there any people who put hfv's on FTP sites?

  33. And another thing (sorry) i feel that the hfv's should be expandable
  34. as more things go into them.  Instead of having a predefined size they should
  35. expand and compress as you put and take out stuff from them.  How do you
  36. find out the Free Space on a drive?
