(cut and paste surport?) I'm not an employee of ARDI, so I don't know what it will include, but I am a Win95 tester, and have run E/D under it. So some suggestions for post-2.0 releases: E/Windows could include both clipboard support and long filenames, and, with a whole lot of difficult coding, perhaps use the Win95 icons in file/open boxes and such. Further in the future, provided Executor finds the kind of customer base it deserves (and note that the base of Mac-users will likely grow in the next 1-2 years as Radius, IBM, etc. make Mac clones [at last]), I wonder if Executor could become an extension to Windows (or X-Windows on the U**X platforms) that would allow Mac binaries to run on the same desktop as native binaries. There are X-Windows clients for Mac and Windows which allow X programs to run under the client's windowing system, and such funtionality in Mac/PC crossovers would be exciting. Oh. And maybe Executor/Win could run in a window and not freak out. [snip] > Do you think Executor can ever be a replacement for a REAL MAC? No, because Executor will never come on more than a few floppies, and it's too hard to prop a door open with anything smaller than a Mac Plus. And I'm sure copyright reasons will keep it from having that *darling* "happy Mac" icon. > It looks real good, keep up the GOOD work. [snip] Hrm, that's odd. Are you trying to extract them on DOS or .HFV volumes? I always copy my downloads to a (large) .HFV before I try extracting them. Also, though I'm not sure, I think the Stuffit Expander included as a demo can extract .sea's directly, without trying to use the executable part of the archive.
