With OS/2 and Windows 95, IBM and Microsoft have written emulation versions of DOS. Certain utilties programs, such as The Norton Utilties and Central Point Utilties, will not run with OS/2 or Windows 95. Since OS/2 does exhibit the HPFS (Hierarchical Performance File System), IBM recommends that you create a separate hard disk partition with a copy of "real DOS".
