I agree that sending MIMEed and UUencoded files is annoying. But what about
people who have no FTP access or can only download from FTP? America Online
users (like me) can download from FTP, but can't upload. America Online says
that uploading to FTP won't be available on their service until late 1996.
It's not really fair that for some users it's the only way to transfer
files.
When I want to send a program or file to everyone, I will send a message
saying what it is. If you want it, I'll send it to you personally.
