  24.     (Actually, I've run 7.1 in under 1 MB on a IIsi, but it's the way 
  25. extensions take up memory.  IMO, the Mac memory allocation scheme is 
  26. terrible and needs replaceing.  A true virtual memory subsystem would do 
  27. MacOS a world of good on newer Macs, and who wants to run Apple's latest 
  28. on the old Mac's anyway?  I'd rather take System 6 on a '040 mac over 
  29. System 7 on an old mac... too bad Apple put in the System 6
