  21. Uh, well, no.  PGP is perfectly legal.  It is distributed from an 
  22. overseas company, now, anyway, and the patents with RSA have been worked 
  23. out.  Remember, there is *absolutely nothing* wrong with using PGP in the 
  24. USA; only perhaps in exporting it.  Ardi has nothing to worry about using 
  25. it: pgp is perfectly legal for US companies to use!   And ardi certainly 
  26. wouldn't be in the position of exporting it: it would just be using it to 
  27. decrypt credit card info.  Today, PGP is perfectly legal for overseas 
  28. use, as well, as it is currently distributed from outside the USA, and 
  29. *imported* rather than the other way around.  I'd hate for adi to be 
  30. scared away from using PGP.  It is currently the *only* product that can 
  31. relaly provide ardi with the credit card security it'll need for 
  32. electronic commerce.  The secure HTTP implementations are running into 
  33. legal trouble as well, and they're quite expensive.
