  25. Uh, well, no.  PGP is perfectly legal.  It is distributed from an 
  26. overseas company, now, anyway, and the patents with RSA have been worked 
  27. out.  Remember, there is *absolutely nothing* wrong with using PGP in the 
  28. USA; only perhaps in exporting it.  Ardi has nothing to worry about using 
  29. it: pgp is perfectly legal for US companies to use!   And ardi certainly 
  30. wouldn't be in the position of exporting it: it would just be using it to 
  31. decrypt credit card info.  Today, PGP is perfectly legal for overseas 
  32. use, as well, as it is currently distributed from outside the USA, and 
  33. *imported* rather than the other way around.  I'd hate for adi to be 
  34. scared away from using PGP.  It is currently the *only* product that can 
  35. relaly provide ardi with the credit card security it'll need for 
  36. electronic commerce.  The secure HTTP implementations are running into 
  37. legal trouble as well, and they're quite expensive.
