  16. Hello all, I am using the "m" version on a linux machine
  17. and have been trying to install some software packages
  18. and having no luck.  I have tried
  19. putting adobe illustrator 5.0 on and it wont
  20. even read the install disk. then I tried
  21. microsoft office and when I try to install it
  22. comes back with an error that my preferences folder
  23. is read only.
