  14.     I just set up 1.99m here - looks really good so far.  This is 
  15. almost ready for "prime time" so to speak, in my opinion.

  17.     About the video speed - when animation is off, things seem 
  18. smoother now than they did under 1.99k.  Did the 4-dirty-rect code make 
  19. it in here or something?  Whatever was done seemed to improve things.

  21.     I like the new background, too.

  23.     Most of what follows is nitpicking/bug reports... things which 
  24. ALMOST work, but still need a little bit more work done.  These are much 
  25. better than 1.99k though.

  27.     PageMaker 4.2 ALMOST works for me.  The one major problem right 
  28. now is that File/Place dosen't work, reporting "unknown file type"  This 
  29. is a pretty old bug.  I think it's becuase it's running some checks on 
  30. each file, and the filesystem code has some sort of a bug in it which 
  31. dosen't report what Pagemaker needs.

  33.     Running Executor/Linux under XF86_Mono is much closer now too.  
  34. The only problems is that the background turns into a semi-randomish dot 
  35. pattern (this happens in -bpp 1 too), and the mouse cursor is inverted.

  37.     I haven't tested printing yet.

  39.     In general, 1.99m + a few bug fixes + a couple of minor features 
  40. mentioned by Cliff (formatting disks) + the hack-a-thon + one/two last 
  41. debugging release(s) should be 2.0.  I can really feel it getting much closer 
  42. now... keep it up!
