  19.     One of the things that I think helped Small was that he started 
  20. when Macintoshes were Macintoshes.  By that I mean that in the old days, 
  21. the Macintosh system could actually run in 128K, and the ROMS took 64K.  
  22. Nowadays, the Macintosh System is larger than regular Windows.  IMO, 
  23. MacOS 7.5 means Macindoze 7.5, since the Macintosh appears to be being 
  24. corrupted by trying to compete by Microsoft.

  26.     If Apple falls, I think it will be because the Macintosh is no 
  27. longer as easy to understand as it used to be - still easier than an IBM, 
  28. but much tougher than a Mac Plus (how much more plug and play do you get 
  29. than a Mac Plus, anyway - at least as long as you don't try to add RAM? :)

  31.     I know - I have a weird vision of what the Macintosh should be.  
  32. It should be a nice, small box with plenty of CPU power and a nice, 
  33. compact, modular and expandable OS.  It should be available in all in 
  34. CPU+Monitor and modular forms.  The Macs Apple sells now only hit two of 
  35. those (CPU power and modular casing.)

  37.     At the rate they're going now, MacOS 8 or 9 will be Windows 
  38. NT-sized.  Hopefully it will be as well designed and as stable, but I 
  39. consider that doubtful unless Apple really takes a look at it's design.  
  40. The memory management in Multifinder/System 7.x pales even by Windoze 3.1 
  41. standards with the application blocks... it's too easy to fill up memory 
  42. wastefully.

  44.     Not that I don't want Executor to be able to run System 7.5 of 
  45. course... when that happens Executor will stop emulating just Macintosh 
  46. apps, and instead start emulating a whole Macintosh, which will be 
  47. an incredible feat.

  59. good job at it.  Executor is really turning out into something great...

  61. that WILL let us all run tons more apps... :)
