  1. Due to a possible corrupt filesystem, my report could not be as useful
  2. as i wanted to. To avoid this again, i have reinstalled E/D from ZIPs again
  3. and tried all the errors Cliff could not reproduce, and this is what happened:

  19.  MICE PROBLEMS

  22. -Emilio>Pressing ALT-CTRL and left button of the mice, the mouse hangs...
  23. -Cliff> I cant reproduce it (...) tell me when and...

  25. I dont know what kind of stupid boy i am!!!! Forget it, this was not a 
  26. bug, this was my mice controller that allows change mice speed using
  27. these keys and then a number!!!! Sorry for that!! (What the hell...)

  30. APPS ERRORS
  31. ===========

  33. U were right!!! Maelstrom is OK, it works clean and soft, just like a mac
  34. better even than 1.99K. The only bug happens when changing level, from 1 to
  35. 2 the score line (on the bottom of the screen) gets a little corrupted
  36. (The numbers overwrite the text)

  38. Emilio>Speedometer 3.xx
  39. I lost Spd 3.xx with my filesystem, but 4.xx hangs with color tests
  40. at the second pass! (run all test) just exactly the 3.xx did!

  43. BROWSER ERRORS
  44. ==============
  45. Emilio> When moving an icon inside a folder, the old icon stays till 
  46. Emilio> you reopen the drive/parent folder

  49. Not a bug. Corrupted File System Error

  55. All right: Just open a folder with a lot of icons ( I do it with MACWORLD CD
  56. Nb 1).  You can see some icons with large names and you cant see the end
  57. of them because the bar is ON them. Just push the up button slowly till
  58. the end of the name is EXACTLY UNDER  the button and press again. 
  59. You will select the icon, instead of pressing the button. I can reproduce
  60. it what ever U want!!! (You can reproduce playing with the DEMOS 1st folder
  61. window, its very easy)

  63. Emilio>Using CWSDPMI and EMM386 NOEMS, when opening Disk drives ...

  66. When doing with clean E/D nothing happens using the same disk that used before.
  67. So it was CORRUPTED FILESYSTEM (sorry again)

  79. OTHER NEW ERRORS
  80. =================
  81. Just take a look at the new errors i have found (Clean Executor and file
  82. system this time, and reproduced at least three times on machine A)
  83.                  
  84.               
  85. 1-When trying to copy a program without enough space it says there is
  86. no space but it creates a document in the destination folder.
  87.                    
  88. 2-If U duplicate a folder named "A", U obtain a folder named "A copy"
  89. do it again and U get a folder named equal after pressing continue
  90. on the error log(-43 in) (Two folder named exactly the same, its not too good,
  91. because, for example, when U delete one (Error in PHBdelete), 
  92. the browser delete both: One complitely and it deletes the contents 
  93. of the other)
  94.                 
  95. 3-A combined error from the last two: If U dont delete the bad doc from
  96. the error 1) and copy again the program, when U delete the bad doc, U
  97. delete the program.
  98.                  
  99. 4-A complement to a reported error:PR#940 (+NEW)
  100. If you rename the HD with an ENTER, it changes ok, but:
  101.   #when U open the window the old name appears
  102.   #U cant rename it again, the "blankspace" name of the HD stays forever (NEW)
  103.                       
  104. 5- This is a NEW AND FUNNY ERROR: I CALL IT RECURSIVE COPY:
  105. Put  2 folders on the hot band, We call it A and B.
  106.                
  107. Open folder A from hot band and REMOVE HOT BAND B ENTRY TO A folder (just
  108. like if U wanted to copy the B folder from the hot band to the open A WINDOW)
  109.                     
  110. The folder does not appear! Restart Executor and U will have the folder B
  111. inside folder A and in the hot band only the folder A. Put folder B into
  112. hot band and then copy the A entry of the hot band into the B entry of the 
  113. hot band!!! and voila!, recursive copy till U get out the HD!!!!
  114.                      
  115. If U restart Executor U will have A that contains B that contains A that...
  116. (I m having a very funny evening)  8-)
  117. Maybe someone could say: Where is the bug?, the mac does what U have
  118. told it to do. Well, I'd say that the copy status circle does not work 
  119. well then!.  8-)

  122. CD ERRORS (Tested with several memory conf.)
  123. =========
  124.   -Insert a MAC CD on the DRIVE, check for it (ALT+MAYS+2 and CHECK FOR...)
  125.   then EJECT IT (ALT E). The icon stays, no matter how many times U eject it!
  126.                         
  127.                          
  128.   -Insert a MAC CD on the DRIVE, check for it(see before), then OPEN THE ICON
  129. so U see the 1st folder and then EJECT IT (ALT E). The icon stays, just like
  130. before, but if U click on the icon (Hot band CD icon) U get out of E/D with
  131.
