Hi folks, I would like to register my copy of executorlinux. The only problem to me is, that I don't have a visa card nor I'm worthy enough to get the Golden Amexo. Is there a different way to send the money and get it registered ? 8) If so, please tell me. Students uses to be not that rich. I think the people at ardi are doing a fantastic job. ;)) Thanks in advance, KLaas \\|// (^ ^) ------------------------------ooO-(_)-Ooo------------------------------- * Klaas Nebuhr Telefon : 0441/6919517 * * Am Bloher Forst 1 * * 26160 Bad Zw'ahn * * Germany * * * * e-mail : Klaas.Nebuhr@arbi.Informatik.Uni-Oldenburg.DE * * * -----------------------------------------------------------------------* From owner-executor Sat Apr 1 03:28:12 1995 Received: (from majordom@localhost) by nacm.com (8.6.9/8.6.9) id DAA28881 for executor-outgoing; Sat, 1 Apr 1995 03:28:12 -0800 Received: from sloth.swcp.com (sloth.swcp.com [198.59.115.25]) by nacm.com (8.6.9/8.6.9) with ESMTP id DAA28876 for <executor@nacm.com>; Sat, 1 Apr 1995 03:28:05 -0800 Received: from iclone.UUCP (uucp@localhost) by sloth.swcp.com (8.6.9/8.6.9) with UUCP id EAA10075 for nacm.com!executor; Sat, 1 Apr 1995 04:30:54 -0700 Received: from beaut.ardi.com by mailhost with smtp (nextstep Smail3.1.29.0 #11) id m0rv1MT-000YbCC; Sat, 1 Apr 95 04:29 MST Received: by beaut.ardi.com (linux Smail3.1.28.1 #5) id m0rv1MT-00003GC; Sat, 1 Apr 95 04:29 MST Message-Id: <m0rv1MT-00003GC@beaut.ardi.com> Date: Sat, 1 Apr 95 04:29 MST From: ctm@ardi.com (Clifford Thomas Matthews) To: executor@nacm.com Subject: brief status report Sender: owner-executor@nacm.com Precedence: bulk ftp.ardi.com is on its way up. Currently all that's on the site is what is also on ftp.cs.unm.edu. Initially it will be running over a 28.8kb modem and as such will be *very* slow. Our plan is to line up mirrors and give them and our (coming soon) WWW pages precedence. We'll point users to mirrors as we line them up. In addition to what we've put on ftp.cs.unm.edu in the past, we also will start (perhaps not until 1.99m is out) releasing packages that patch one expermental version into another. These packages will be *much* smaller than what you get when you pick up an entire experimental distribution from scratch. In addition to that, we'll also start building a library of redistributable apps that are known to work under Executor, as well as a list (the current one is out of date) of commercial apps and how they work under Executor. Sorry this is all taking so long. We don't have a system administrator over here, so we have to juggle development with maintaining our (approximately) dozen computers. As for 1.99l; true, it's about a week late, but we were hoping to track down a bug in our DPMI provider and have that fixed. Now it looks like we'll have to release 1.99l without the bug fix, and hope to have the fix in by the time 1.99m ships. --Cliff ctm@ardi.com
