  9. Shopper nominating Executor/DOS for a "Mondo Cool award".  Computer
  10. Shopper actually published the letter (Computer Shopper, January 1995,
  11. p. 576).  I won't type in John's letter, but here's the response:

  38. I agree, that's exactly the point I was trying to make as well.  A good 
  39. multistep process for getting publicity to Executor would be the following:

  41. 1) Send free copies to magazines, as Jered suggested.  You could contact 
  42. Jerry Pournelle at Byte who always reviews interesting software in his 
  43. monthly column, and is partial to both PC's and Macs.  Another good place
  44. would be the Linux Journal, since your Linux version is even better than
  45. your DOS version IMHO.

  47. 2) Get recognition on the major online services.  I already mentioned 
  48. CompuServe, also AOL is a good choice.  Maybe you can have a publicized 
  49. conference in one of the PC forums.
  50.  
  51. 3) In addition to your FTP site, I highly recommend setting up a WWW 
  52. site, and getting links to it from some of the main Web jump-off points.
