  1. I have been testing executor since 199c. Using 199c, I was able to get 
  2. Microsoft Word 5.1 to work, but since then I haven't been able to get 
  3. anything to work. Word simply crashes the system with an "unhandled 
  4. trap". I've tried to use ClarisWorks but the screen is drawn all wrong 
  5. and the menus don't work right (they try to scroll as if the menu 
  6. wouldn't fit on the screen, and then menu items are duplicated). Whenever 
  7. a dialog box has come up, the window is redrawn all wrong (it tries to 
  8. draw a much smaller window). When I tried to use FileMaker Pro it said 
  9. that all of the files were corrupt, even if I tried to create a new one, 
  10. so I can't get beyond the first dialog box.

  12. I've tried executor on DOS and Linux (1.0.8) with a 486-50 with 16Megs. 
  13. I've tried adding memory with applzone, I've tried reducing bit depth 
  14. (ClarisWorks just crashes if I try -bpp 1), I've tried refresh and 
  15. noclock. Am I doing something wrong, or am I expecting too much out of 
  16. the experimental version.

  18. I really hope to be able to use executor succesfully. Any suggestions?

  55. When I went to kernel 1.2.0 from 1.1.75, the problem disappeared.  I don't
  56. know if any other kernels are affected.

  73. I noticed that the preferences now allow you to pick the number of colors.
  74. BUT, when I click on the choices nothing happens.  They "kinda hightlight"
  75. but nothing results.  In face all four circles are white (unselected).
  76. E/DOS199k.  -bpp doesn't seem to effect things much anymore, since most apps
  77. have a prefered bit depth and they change to it (often correctly!!!!!!!)

  108. Yes, those buttons should have been "dimmed out"; they were added in
  109. anticipation of the day when we support them.  They don't work yet.

  128. I upgraded to the latest version of executor (1.99k?) and it does not
  129. work under Linux 1.1.94.  The old version I had worked fine.  I think I was 
  130. using h before.  Can't be sure since I wiped it out when I put the new one in.

  136. Also, would it be possible to separate the executor program itself from the
  137. demos and games that come with it?  That would make it easier for folks like
  138. me who download over an account that won't let me download files greater than
  139. about 1.2 Meg.  I currently have to dd the file into chunks and pull it down
  140. a piece at a time.
