  3. I tested E/D 1.99k a bit more, using 1.99f and 1.99j and a Quadra as references.

  5. Concerning stability it seems as though we are getting there, but I
  6. definitely see differences (besides the already mentioned Speedometer 3.11
  7. test screens that do not show colour in 1.99j and 1.99k) between
  8. colour availability on E/D and a Quadra.
  9.  
  10. For instance Tangram and Floortiles (both games) have screens that show
  11. black blocks and or wrong colours in the latest two versions.
  12. (All is fine with 1.99f)
  13.  
  14. If Ardi has Speedometer around, check the very first title screen; the icon
  15. showed has colour on a Mac which is missing in all versions of E/D.
  16.  
  17. Also it seems that the latest two versions are *very* dependent on EMM
  18. availability and settings concerning performance. I timed the following:
  19.  
  20.                                                 1.99f   1.99j   1.99k
  21.                                                 ---------------------------
  22. loading E/D                           7         10       41 sec.
  23. loading HyperCard 2.1       15       28       67 sec.

  25. figures for E/D 1.99k improved when removing EMM386 but were still much
  26. higher than 1.99f

  28. Anybody else having the same experience?
