  63.     Sounds good.  I'm thinking about a certain game "pararena" which 
  64. was very usable under 1.2e but was hurt badly by the color quickdraw in 
  65. 1.99x.  It looked like the bitblt handling was slower (even in B&W mde).

  67.     That and I seem to like B&W Macs (if only they made new ones 
  68. which were FAST... The old 68000 macs are too slow for me... :)

  77.     I tried running the 1.99h demo under Linux, but it ate up 24 MB 
  78. and went into UMSDOS swap space (it brought this system to it's knees!).  
  79. This is a 486DX1/50 with 32 MB ram...  I'm using Linux 1.1.83 and 
  80. Slackware 2.1 with XFree 3.1.  I'll try an earlier kernel and seeing what 
  81. happens.  If there's any option switch I can try, I'd do it...

  162.     What version of OS/2 are you running?  If it is a version that
  163. crashes if it tries to page on 4 megs of RAM, you may need to set the DPMI
  164. memory limit higher; the default *is* 4.
  165.     I have Warp, but I haven't tried Executor on it yet.  My video
  166. card desyncs when I switch to an odd video mode -- which is *very*
  167. aggravting... :(  (happens in OS/2 and Linux)
