  23. Here is how I handle this situation.  Within Executor, I run Compact Pro
  24. and create and save an empty archive file called sample.cpt.  I quit
  25. Executor and copy the file %sample.cpt (i.e. the resource fork) to
  26. a file called %cpt.header.  Whenever I have a Compact pro archive which
  27. I've obtained in some manner which led to the loss of the resource fork
  28. (which contains the creator and other info), I copy the %cpt.header file
  29. over.  For example, if I have CoolDemo.cpt, I copy %cpt.header to
  30. %CoolDemo.cpt.  After that, Compact pro is happy to load the file.
  31. Naturally, the same thing can be done with archives from Stuffit or
  32. other programs.
