Hi Folks,
Half of 1.99d has been released: a transmog file for our DOS paying
customers and another Linux demo. We haven't yet released a demo
version for DOS, nor a new NEXTSTEP version, because we're in the
process of changing which (and possibly how) sample apps are included
with Executor.
In the meantime, our funding situation from NTK has improved a little
bit so we've purchased some long overdue software that we'd like to
test under Executor. Specifically we now have the latest copies of
(in no particular order):
7 Metrowerks CodeWarrior
Nisus Writer
Quark XPress
7 Microsoft Word (6.0)
7 Microsoft Excel (5.0)
7 Microsoft PowerPoint (4.0)
WriteNow
Filemaker Pro
ClarisWorks
Swivel 3D Professional
We'll be buying some more applications (Aldus and Adobe) after we've
cleaned up some of the backlog of testing, firefighting and e-mail
answering. We're also doing a lot of testing of apps/demos that we
pick up via anonymous ftp or are available on the BCS-PD CD ROM.
NOTE: The applications with a "7" next to them "require" System 7.
We will try to do enough System 7 "spoofing" to get these
applications to work, but if that winds up being more trouble than we
expect, we may release Executor 2.0 without the ability to run some
of those apps, and have to put such functionality into a later
release.
I realize we still don't have a list of what runs and what doesn't
