  21. If all things worked the way one expected, the best linux kernel to
  22. choose would be the latest kernel in the "stable" (even) version numbers.
  23. I believe that this is 1.0.9 currently.  Unfortunately, due to many people
  24. wanting the features of the experimental versions and no freezing of
  25. the development code to 1.2.0 ("stable") and 1.3.0 (experimental),
  26. the "stable" kernel is becoming rather dated.   The problem with
  27. just choosing an experimental kernel is that little (and often no)
  28. documentation exists to tell you what changed between kernel versions.
