If copied to another volume, the destination folders CAN be deleted. Also, the only folders this has happened to -started out- as folders within other folders. One quick thing about cursors disappearing: I've noticed that for applications which hide the cursor, hitting shift-ctrl-5 brings up a cursorless dialog box (and apple/alt-period doesn't cancel it).
