  8. Executor/DOS 1.2e does not check for non-HFV filesystems until you  
  9. explicitly ask it to by typing Left-Alternate/SHIFT/2.  This applies  
  10. to floppy disks, SCSI disks and CD-ROMs.  You can get the old  
  11. behaviour (that checks every time a standard get/put dialog box is  
  12. brought up) by adding the "-drivecheck" to the command line.

  14. The next release of Executor will be halfway between what the old  
  15. version of Executor did (check every time) and what 1.2e does (only  
  16. check when you type Cmd-Shift-2).  It will check for disks once at  
  17. startup time and will also check each time you dismiss the box that  
  18. you get when you eject a floppy.  All other checks will only be made  
  19. when you type Cmd-Shift-2.  It will honor the "-drivecheck" switch  
  20. just like 1.2e does, if you want.

  37. I found that the latest update I got off the net works very
  38. well with my 486 running OS/2.  Unfortuantely, that is 
  39.  
  40. because it no longer can access the floppy dirves (no access
  41. under DOS either).  Previuosly, it would spend some time
  42. trying to access my B: 51/4 drive after every attempt to 
  43.  
  44. read the disks.
