I've recently noticed that executor's go32.exe program will look for a file
by the same name as itself without the .EXE name. So I've set up the color
executor (used TRANSMOG) as EXECOLOR and a corresponding EXECOLOR.EXE version
of GO32.EXE along with EXEC13E & EXEC12E.EXE and the original EXECUTOR and
EXECUTOR.EXE for 1.2. [I had to rename the files by hand.] Now while each of
these setups take up about a meg or so, it's worth having them all because
if you run into trouble, you can simply run the other versions instead of
reinstalling, etc.
Also, since I set up a nice spacious 12Mb volume for my executors, it's no
biggie to have two or three extra megs for the emulator versions. :-)
Also, does anyone at ARDI plan to support 24 bit color at some point, or will
we be stuck with the old style colors?
[I tried to get color out of the 24 bit color toolbox calls, bt nothing. The
old color calls that were even in the MacPlus seem to work.]
