  14. A power surge took out the boot disk from our Netinfo server (ouch),
  15. and apparently gnu tar doesn't want to restore all the symbolic links
  16. from our backup tape, so our e-mail configuration is hosed.  We can
  17. receive e-mail, but we can't send e-mail out.  In addition, we temporarily
  18. can't get at some of our most recent e-mail.
  19.  
  20. The inability to send out should be fixed within 24 hours.
  21.  
  22. However, we'll probably continue to be pretty quiet for the remainder of
  23. the week, since I'm due for a mini-vacation and there's suddenly a bunch
  24. more b.s. to deal with (due to the lack of a drive) than I expected.

  48. Anyone who has 1.2 and has internet access can pick up experimental  
  49. updates from ftp.cs.unm.edu.  The directory "pub/ardi/Executor_DOS"  
  50. contains a few .zip files each of which can transform a copy of the  
  51. fully-enabled 1.2 into an experimental version (1.2a, 1.2b or 1.2c).   
  52. The experimental versions are coming out frequently enough that it  
  53. doesn't really make a lot of sense to come up with a list of exactly  
  54. what will run under any 1.x version.

  56. Information about what runs under particular versions of 1.2x is  
  57. useful to us, and once all the 2.0 functionality has been added in,  
  58. we'll start publishing info about what we have in our testing library  
  59. and what we've discovered.

  81. I'm extremely new to Executor and I do most of my work long distance with a
  82. Mac shop (printers). Is it possible to format Macintosh 3.5" diskettes with
  83. any of the updates for version 1.2? According to the manual from 1.0 which
  84. came with my version 1.2 it is not possible. What gives?
