- DIRECTIONS / OBJECTIVE
-
- The objective of Plix is to push the various shaped blocks on the
- game board into the proper positions in the rows below the grid.
- All the different shaped objects must be positioned on top of their
- negative images in order to solve the puzzle.
-
-
- PUSHING TILES
-
- The Red tile is called the pushing tile. You move the pushing tile
- with the <Arrow Keys>. When you push a tile, it will continue to
- slide in that direction until it either hits another tile or reaches
- the side of the game board. If you push a tile down to the bottom of
- board, it will leave the board and will be placed in the two rows
- at the bottom. The idea is to cover the tile pattern which matches
- the tile pushed.
-
- TILE PATTERNS
-
- There are 4 tile patterns which can appear on the game board.
- These must be matched with their negative images in the last two rows.
-
-
- SCORING
-
- Points are given for each tile placed correctly. The points vary
- for each pattern.
-
- Triangle = 1 Square = 3 Circle = 5 Bow Tie = 10
-
- To the right of the game board the scores are shown for the puzzle
- selected. The top box shows the highest possible number of points.
- The next box shows the highest point total you've gotten so far.
- The last box shows the current point score for the game in progress.
- A puzzle is completely solved when you push all the tiles onto their
- matching negative patterns in the last two rows. On the left side
- of the screen the Status Box shows if the current puzzle has been
- *SOLVED* or is still UNSOLVED.
-
-
- PERSONAL SCORE CARDS
-
- At the start of each Plix session, a Score Board Menu will appear.
- If there are no personal score cards on record, it will ask you to
- input your initials to create one. There can be up to five different
- personal score cards. Once you have selected the player's card, all
- scores will be saved to his or her own special score file.
-
-
- SELECTING PUZZLES
-
- Puzzles are selected by pressing the <S>elect Puzzle key. A menu
- will pop up and allow you to select the puzzle to load onto the
- game board. The menu will pop up automatically when you first
- select a Player Score Card.
-
-
- KEYS
-
- At the bottom of the screen you have five different feature keys.
-
- <D>irections <O>ptions <S>elect Puzzle <T>ry Again <Q>uit
-
- At any time during a puzzle you can press the <T>ry Again key to
- load the same puzzle again. If your score for that puzzle is higher
- then the previous high score, then it will be recorded as the new
- high score.
-
-
- OPTIONS
-
- Many features can be selected by pressing the <O>ption button. The
- options are:
-
- Sound Toggle : On/Off
- Solutions : See the computer solve the puzzle
- Change Player : Change player score card
