  5. This is Mr.Matt, a strategy game for the age bracket ranging from
  6. teenage to adult. You are Mr. Matt, running around in a cave,
  7. digging through earth, eating apples and avoiding falling stones.
  8. The game is quite simple, yet highly addictive.
  9.  
  10. The program exists in both 16- and 32-bit versions; depending on
  11. the archive file you unpacked it from:
  12.  
  13. MRMATT16.ZIP - a 16-bit version for Windows 3.1 (runs also under
  14.                Windows 95 and NT)
  15.  
  16. MRMATT32.ZIP - a 32-bit version, optimized for Windows 95 (does
  17.                not run under Windows 3.1), OK on the NT
  18.  
  19. Mr.Matt is copyright ⌐ 1996-98 by J. Andrzej Wrotniak. The program
  20. is distributed as shareware. Registration brings you some extra
  21. features; most importantly, a game editor so that you can create
  22. your own games. You will be also able to play additional games,
  23. created by other players and downloadable from the Mr. Matt Web
  24. page (more than 100 extra games are currently available!).

  27. distribution conditions.

  30. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  31.  
  32. Any computer capable of running Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 will
  33. do. A color VGA or SVGA monitor is required. A sound board (or
  34. at least the SPEAKER.DRV driver) is required for the sound, but
  35. the game will also work fine without it. The mouse is supported
  36. but not necessary.

  38. The program files need less than 1 megabyte of disk space.

  41. INSTALLATION
  42.  
  43. Create a new directory (any name, anywhere), copy all Mr.Matt
  44. files to it. Done.
  45.  
  46. The program does not require any files not supplied in the
  47. distribution archive (except, of course, the standard parts of
  48. the Windows system). It does not create or modify any files
  49. outside of its own directory.

  54. Delete the Mr.Matt directory with all the files inside it.

  106. The last four files are not necessary for the program operation
  107. and can be safely deleted after reading. The sound and language
  108. files also can be deleted if you do not care for sound effects
  109. in the program.
