- Hi,
-
- Llhore is very simple to install.
- Unzip (which you must have already done to be reading this) to any
- directory you want. Keep all the files in the same directory.
- In this directory, from dos, type Llhore.
- This will start up windows and the game.
- If you are in windows.
- Choose "File" at the top of your Windows main screen.
- Then choose run.
- In the box with the flashing cursor, type the path to llhore.
- i.e.
- If you unzipped llhore to a directory called "llhore"
- you would type "C:\llhore\llhore"
- This would start the game up as well.

- Color Pallettes
- ---------------
- Llhore should look like a lush green painting when you start it up.
- If the trees are a strange shade of blue, and Erikson leaves
- trails behind him when he walks, then your color pallette is
- different from what Llhore needs.
- Windows can only handle so many colors at once and Llhore is
- demanding some colors that it can't mix at the moment.
- There are a couple of ways to fix this.
- One is - I could be a better programmer and force it to use the
- colors that I want it to, but I can't. I've researched this, but
- on some systems, I just can't make it use the pallette I need.
- Sorry. You're gonna have to help me.
- The way to fix this is to change your screen color resolution.
- Most screens run in 640x480 x 256 colors.
- You can change this to run in 640x480 x 64 thousand colors and that
- will fix the problem.
- (also 800x600 x 64 thousand colors or even 1024x768 x 64 thousand
- colors will work just as well.)
- If you don't know how to do this, well, don't try. I don't want to
- mess up your system. Get a geek like me to help you.
- Another way is to load the included llhor36.bmp file into your background
- in Windows. Then exit Windows and start it up again.
- This will make windows start with the color pallette it need.
- Copy Llhore36.bmp to the windows subdirectory, then go into control
- panel and choose your background picture to be llhore36.bmp.
- Again, if you don't know how, get a geek friend to help you.
- Hey, as I always say at the end of a tech call -
- Good Luck.
