- The EASYMAIL system is menu-based and easily used by even the
- unexperienced user. It provides means for setting up a diskette
- containing up to 1000 labels. These may be added to, changed,
- and printed. Also, a mailing list may be produced, showing what
- is recorded on the mailing address file.
-
-
- Labels may be produced in varying orders, if you also have
- the QSORT program. Labels may then be printed in either last name
- sequence, zip code order, city/state order, or in the order they
- are recorded on the diskette.

- Operating Instructions
- ----------------------
-
- To begin using EASYMAIL, first copy it to another diskette
- (for backup). Then use the new diskette as your "master file".
- The new diskette should be formatted using the FORMAT utility and
- then DISKCOPY may be used to copy the contents of the EASYMAIL
- program to the new diskette. Instructions on how to use both of
- these utilities may be found in the IBM DOS manual.
-
-
- Once copied, the backup copy may be set-up. This is done by
- first starting up advanced basic (BASICA). Instructions on how to
- do this may be found in the IBM BASIC manual.
-
-
- Once BASICA is started, place the new diskette in drive B and
- type:
- RUN "B:EASYMAIL
-
-
- The main menu screen will be displayed showing what functions
- are available for your use. To set-up the master file, use the
- BUILD FILE function. It will record all necessary formatting
- information and will initialize all fields for processing. Once
- done, you may then add to the mailing list.
-
-
- Each function is fairly straight forward in the system. Full
- prompts are given for all functions and "type-ahead" allows you to
- pre-type answers to known prompts ... so that experienced
- operators may speedily access following screens.
