- PC Magazine August 1987 Volume 6, Number 14
-
- Purpose: PCMAP is designed to report which programs are
- installed in your PC's memory and how much space they
- occupy.
-
- Syntax: PCMAP
-
- Remarks: PCMAP displays a list showing the name of each program
- (or process) and how many bytes of memory are allocated
- to it.
-
- In DOS Versions 3.0 and later the full pathname of the
- program is stored at the end of the environment. PCMAP
- checks to see if the environment block is owned by the
- program and, if so, copies the name to the screen.
- Running PCMAP under versions of DOS prior to 3.0 will
- show "(Unknown)" for the program name.
