  6.  Since most of us don't have unlimited disk space, many of us archive files
  7.  to conserve space.  There are lots of different archiving programs available
  8.  and you can always find the latest versions of the most commonly used archive
  9.  programs in this area.  Also, there are lots of archive conversion and other
  10.  utilities available.  Keep archiving and saving that disk space!

  13.   Most Commonly Used Archivers

  16.    Each of the 5 common archive types has a unique file extension on the
  17.    archive filename.  The ones referred to in the following descriptions
  18.    are the default and most commonly used extensions.  To be able to
  19.    access data in an archive, make sure to get the proper archiver for
  20.    your needs.  All of these are in self extracting format.  Just type
  21.    the name of the file and it will dearchive itself.
