  5. Jump over and grab a hex editor of your choice, and open the data file that you want to crack. At the head of the file you will see
  6. about 15 plaintext english words: company name, registration info, etc. You should also see the plaintext password.

  8. I honestly don't see how it could get much worse. If the so-called encryption was any weaker, the product would be more secure.
  9. At least people would be aware of the security risk and take other precautions. Oh, well.
