  9. This archive contains the ripped sourcecode of the bug, stolen from the
  10. original sample applet by Fabio Ciucci, who discovered the trick:

  18. This non standard java applet can crash Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT
  19. too (in most cases), with Explorer 4.0, 4.1 and 5.0 Beta (not 3.0 or older).
  20. It can be included in any web page, or sent via e-mail attachments.
  21. And, Microsoft still hasn't released a fix, update or patch!!!
  22. Isn't this great? Unfortunately can't replicate itself, is a trojan, this
  23. is why the people with a free mind have to spread it by hand in the world,
  24. to change the future of internet. Do it fast, do it today!

  28. Plus, I want Java free from Microsoft illegal and bugged manipulations...
  29. Long live the Java, Mozilla, and the legal competition between companies!
  30. I think this bug is a sort of biological revenge of manipulated Java :-)
  31. Please, diffuse those crash applets everywhere on the net, so only who
  32. don't use M$ Internet Explorer will survive.

  34. You find, please, in the /appletz folder, some compiled iecrash applets:
  35. These will all crash or freeze your computer if run in IE 4/5.

  37. microsoft.class     -> Who sells the CRASH BUG
  38. FabioCiucci.class   -> Who discovered the Bug and hidden the sourcecode :)
  39. UseNetscape.class   -> I suggest this, if you want a safe life hehe...
  40. marquee.class       -> An innocent name for an innocent applet...

  43. With the sourcecode included, you can compile applets with any name you
  44. want, and please create some "time-crashbombs" versions, who crashes
  45. after some minutes, so user doesn't understand from what site the applet
  46. was loaded... I made already a part of the job, please do the rest...

  49. Please, spread this archive (and the applets hehe!) via e-mail to all the
  50. addresses you have (the bulk mailers with millions of e-mails are perfect
  51. for crash spam!), to all the alt.binary.* newsgroups, on porn sites, on
  52. IRC channels, everywhere.

  54. If you attach the uncompressed .html and .class files, and user choose to
  55. view the html, the crash is done. A better way, to cause immediate crash
  56. when user opens the applet on M$ mail, is to make a mail who contains
  57. html itself, with the <APPLET> tag call.

  61. And, if you are able to hack, be sure to substitute the homepages of some
  62. stringly visited sites like cnn.com or whitehouse.gov or playboy.com, with
  63. a page containing the immediate crash applet... millions of lame explorer
  64. users will have a crash, isn't this funny?
  65. Unfortunately this is only a trojan, not a virus, so it has to be
  66. spread manually... do it! :o>
