- REQUIREMENTS:
-
- Silent Service II will run on most systems. It features VGA/EGA/CGA
- graphics. As well it supports the AdLib Sound card. Digitized speech is
- available for computers with AdLib cards and regular speakers. 512k is the
- bare minimum for memory, 640 or better is advisable if you intend to use
- digitized speech. Because this is not a hacked game, codes are required and I
- will tell you how to setup the game to work without the original disks.

- OBJECT OF GAME:
-
- In Silent Service II, you are one of several different types of
- submarines in a world war II simulation. You go around blowing up the enemy
- ships and have a lot of fun doing it. When choosing the type of ship, usually
- go for the bottom ones, they're the best. They go faster, have more torpedo
- tubes and can dive deeper. As for what you do, read the controls section.
-

- MORE INFORMATION:
-
- In silent service, when you first run it, try the codes I supplied,
- once you are in, do a battle and press 'B' to see all the ships so you can
- copy down and make your own sheet of codes. Because it ain't hacked like I
- said, read the next section thouroughly.

- SETUP:
- Without the original disks that come with the game bought, there is no
- installation program. You have to change around the command line to suit your
- system. I supplied two command lines in batch files which will work, change
- around things like:
-
- instead of EGA put CGA or VGA
- put AdLib in the slot for sound I guess
- change the disk drive stuff to at your best guess
-
- One more thing, because I installed it as EGA with no sound card, the resource
- files for VGA and Tandy grafx/sound may not be included. One batch file I
- supplied is et up for hard drive C: with EGA pc sound, the other is the same
- except 31/2" high density b:. Sorry about the setup problems but it is a good
- game!!
