  4. Here be the codes for Silent Service ][:

  7.         These codes are not very accurate AT ALL. Of course, once you get in 
  8. once, as I entailed in the instructions, you can get the good codes. I will 
  9. describe the major features of each boat:
  10.  
  11. Aircraft Carrier - Large, very, very Large, rather rectangular and very LARGE
  12.  
  13. Super Battleship - As wide as the screen, massive guns.
  14.  
  15. BB Battleship - Slightly smaller than super battleship, two main towers 
  16.                 towards front, three smaller towards end, massive guns. 
  17.  
  18. CA Heavy Cruiser - Semi-large guns, quite long, smoke stack angled towards 
  19.                    rear, 4 guns, 3 masts (one is propped up)
  20.  
  21. CL Light Cruiser - Two masts, three nearly identical smoke stacks in middle.
  22.  
  23. DDAA Destroyer - Sorta small, two guns forward, 2 backward, two tall masts, 1 
  24.                  smoke stack.
  25.  
  26. DD Destroyer -  Basically same as DDAA destroyer, 2 smoke stacks, two radar 
  27.                 thingies, 1 gun forward, 2 masts.

  29. DE Destroyer Escort - 1 gun forward, 1 backward, flag on back, 2 masts, 2 
  30.                       small smoke stacks, 1 large smoke stack in middle.
  31.  
  32. PC Patrol Craft - Several inches long on screen (smallest ship) looks like 
  33.                   speed boat.
  34.  
  35. Troop Transport - 4 three-pronged masts, 1 smoke stack on top of living-
  36.                   quarters type area in middle, large.
  37.  
  38. Oil Tanker - 1 big smoke stack, 2 masts close together, 1 small mast, all 
  39.              quarters and building at back, the rest is open.
  40.  
  41. Factory Ship - 1 two pronged mast, 1 small mast at back pointing in, one 2 1/2 
  42.                pronged mast, 1 smoke stack, radar at front, flag at back.
  43.  
  44. Large Freighter - 2 three pronged masts, radar type thingie.
  45.  
  46. Small Freighter - 2 guns, 1 forward, 1 back, 3 regular masts, 1 'Y' shaped 
  47.                   mast.
