  17. at this, the 9th volume of HACK.

  20. techniques and venture forth into some
  21. new material never-before shown

  36. un-suspecting tool of the trade: 2600hz

  41. NET-WORKS NOT The BBS Program

  44. This'll teach you a little bit about
  45. a net-worked computer system, in this
  46. case, a national one.
  47.  
  48. Call 212-986-1660 and you will get
  49. a carrier connect at 300, some of
  50. them take 1200. Anyway, it will
  51. ask you for your name & if you are
  52. new, it will start telling you what
  53. a great system it is. Now let it finish
  54. and think of a password. Then hang
  55. up and call another # on the same
  56. net-work, such as 516-794-1707, and
  57. type in the same name you used in the
  58. other dialup ^above^. Then type in
  59. the password you selected above.

  61. It will come back at you with the
  62. standard We-Welcome-You message.
  63.  
  64. Now even though these two are in
  65. different area codes & states and
  66. might even be on opposite sides of
  67. the USA, it transmited your name
  68. and pw from >here to <there.
  69. Increadable, isn't it.

  71. Compu-Serve, The Source, EasyLink,
  72. and some others are all net-worked.

  94. I discussed this one before, but some
  95. new material has surfaced since then.

  97. Remember good-old Record-A-Voice? The
  98. one you can call up, hit 7, and hear
  99. yourself? The one used by line men to
  100. test the line equipment?

  102. Well, here it is:

  122. one is really old, and sometimes
  123. doesn't work, but here goes...

  126. completed, hit 1 on a tone fone three
  127. times as in 111 for a directory of
  128. the recordings available. listen for
  129. click or buzz after each digit

  143. Credit Cards. The easiest form of
  144. ripping-of-the-other-guy, as it is
  145. sometimes called, also carries the
  146. stiffest fines, but there is a way
  147. around that.

  149. First, you need a CC #. These can be
  150. found easily in almost any store, but
  151. the clothing section of any department
  152. store is usually the easiest. Just go
  153. to the trash barrel, and look for all
  154. those little rectangular pieces of
  155. paper, usually yellow, depending on
  156. the store, and take them. If you feel
  157. brave, take the whole [damn] bag! But
  158. I wouldn't recommend this.

  160. And there you have it, a CC #, or two
  161. or three, but you can expect to rake
  162. in 30-40 if you take a bag...
  163.  
  164. Now never use these in person, always
  165. over-the-fone or by mail. The main
  166. idea behind this is that if you aren't
  167. really there, they can't keep you
  168. there and arrest you. Now watch out
  169. for my up-coming artical: CC FRAUD.

  171. It will include the basic way to go
  172. about USING your new-found CC
  173. number(s). Watch for it!
